Welcome to our web site.
First a little about me, I was born at a very young age a long time ago in a small Somerset village called Washford.
It was so long ago in fact mobile phones had not been invented and broadband was what parents called mini-skirts. Petrol only cost 6p a litre, 20 cigarettes and a box of matches less than twelve and a half pence, the word gay just meant happy and nobody had even hear of global warming.
I had lots of hair and flower power ruled the world.
So far I have out lived spangles, sony walkman, cassette tapes, betamax, video tape, concord, cine film, winkle pickers, QE2, four star petrol, No6 & No10 ciggys and watneys red barrel plus a lot of stuff I can't remember! and.... the shopkeeper or barman gave you money back when returning an empty Corona or beer bottle back to the shop or pub.
I am now a great grand parent to a little (little?) boy named Oscar Peter Mcgovery a boy called River James Thorne and a girl called Laken Grace.
Then along came this lot !

Three of the keenest, alertest, brightest, eagerest kids about, as you can see from their expressions they are like three coiled springs ready to explode with dynamic energy. In fact they had so much energy that between them they produced at least six grand children and two great grand children.

Elizabeth was born in the Welsh town of Porthcawl but grew up in Bristol. Liz has been a bunny girl worked on the development of both the Concord and Harrier jump jet and also when Elizabeth was younger the family had their own horse, and several times a year they would take the horse to Blackpool for a ride on the sands. As is obvious from this picture the horse is a thoroughbred Arab stallion crossed with a mattress. This is Liz pictured riding Wonky who won the four thirty race at Newton Abbott, just a pity though that it started in the two thirty race! Although this horse was a bit lame it did bring some happiness to a few cats and dogs.

Married on the 17th May 1989 at Barnstaple registry office. The witnesses were Nigel and Jack. Followed by a reception at The Crown Hotel for family, then an evening party at The Sandrock. Flying from Gatwick to St. Lucia for the honeymoon. Two of the pictures at the top of this page were taken in St. Lucia.
Then 25 years later Silver Anniversary 2014
A few days away in a hotel at Hope Cove near Salcombe was where we spent our anniversary.
